This year, the in-between runs like a red thread through Kontinent Dalsland's program.

In the work INTERVALL har scenografen Kjersti Alm-Eriksen konstruerat en scen där musiken får en säregen poetisk dimension då den skapas i ett mellanrum och styrs av musikerna i ensemblen Pinquins från kulisserna.

At a time when a nation-building craze is sweeping the world, the Turkish ensemble Hezarfen draws attention to the in-between space in which displaced people find themselves. In the program Recollection of Displacement they portray these experiences of flight and exile, both in Turkey and in a wider European perspective.

Kontinent Dalsland also happens in an in-between this year as we choose, instead of having a festival during the holiday season, to collaborate with cultural actors in Dalsland during their active periods.
